Something Blue Photography is excited to share this next wedding of Kevin and Emma.  This U of A swimming team sweethearts fell in love and wed at Tanque Verde Ranch.

“Kevin and I met as teammates swimming for the University of Arizona (BEARDOWN). I was instantly drawn to the cute and funny Freshman from Seattle, but it took him a little longer to realize that the sophomore who wore socks with sandals was the girl for him!”  {by Emma the bride}

Emma goes on to explain that they went on a long awaited promised date after 6 years of dating to Tanque Verde.   Sitting on a ledge and watching a romantic sunset, Kevin popped the question and asked Emma to spend their lives together and the rest is history.   Their love for the Ranch turned out to be the perfect location for their wedding day.

The wedding day started out as most with preparations of hair and makeup.  But this wedding party was a fun loving rowdy kind of a group.  Most knew each other from College and were part of the 2008 National Men and Woman Champion Swimming team- including our sweet couple.  During the reception we photographed the team, coaches and watched them all chant their favorite team cheer and sing Beardown.  It was exciting and inspirational.  Jaysyn took the lead along with  the Margarita GoDiva and I do Hair & Make up team to create flawless beauty for the bridal party.  The wedding party was decked to the nines and ready to go.  The men looked sharp and ready to play –  I mean Rock.

The crowning jewel was Emma in her dream Wtoo Watters dress from J Bridal.  The low back of the dress is to die for.   The Twins at J Bridal are amazing to work with and their boutique is just stunning.  If you are looking for a dress, go no farther.  She finished off the dress with her one-of-a-kind U of A cowgirl boots.  WOW!!!! What a statement and fun touch.  Being a U of A alumni that was the perfect tribute.

Posh Petals created stunningly sweet bouquets with lovely shades of pink and robust boutonnieres.

The ceremony was held down on the Cactus View at Tanque Verde Ranch and that name is spot on.  The view is filled with cacti, saguaro, mountains and an occasional deer.  There were two ring bearers and a flower girl.  Not saying they stole the show, but they definitely made an entrance.  The best part about having littles in the wedding is you never know what is going to happen.  Yes…..they did….they laughed, giggled and rolled their way all the way down the isle.  Look for the black and white photo of the two boys during the ceremony.  Best seat in the house!!

Kevin and Emma had a personalized metal iron brand made and they branded a piece of wood during the ceremony.   I just love this idea as a keepsake.  In fact we loved it so much we went on Etsy the next day and bought one with our initials.

Leaving dinner the couple ran through sparklers, stopped for a kiss under the full moon and then entered the reception hall.  Phil with Fantastic Five Entertainment kept the party going and as the night unfolded and the liquor flowed, well  there might have been a missing shirt or two in the crowd.    The photos kept getting better and better and some are just a little hard to explain.  This wedding is one that the friends and family will be talking about for years.

Emma and Kevin wanted to give a special thank you to all their wedding professionals, but especially to MaryEllen and Sara Lee for listening to their wishes and making their dreams come true.

“It was truly a magical and most perfect day to start our amazing and fun life together!” [Emma commented}
