Rainbow was the theme of Karissa and Allen’s 2-day wedding extravaganza. Yes, two glorious days in two different cities and we were there to capture it all.

Karissa is in theater so maybe the song from Wizard of Oz – Somewhere over the Rainbow was her inspiration. No matter, there was no lack of color and inspiration on this day. Her mom helped much of the wedding together with the help of Pinterest and close friends.

Get ready there is some very unique and special surprises with the details.  Oh and lots of fun.

We started the day at the Mesa Temple where we along with just a few friends and family eagerly awaited their arrival outside the Temple.

The family was able to get special access into The Chateau De Vie.  Ummmmm….Why yes, we do not mind photographing at a mansion.

Here you will get a little more sense of the Rainbow.  Love the hidden color beneath her dress.  Such an unexpected surprise.

As if that was not enough eye candy, I bring you the reception. This is over the top with details. The reception was actually held in the backyard of a friend. Most of the furniture you see adorned around the yard was given to the couple for their new home. Are you kidding me that is awesome. Instead of a honeymoon dance, they had jars sitting on tables for guests to donate to the cause. Old doors, crates, vintage suitcases were scattered throughout the reception.

The candy bar was extensive and a popular stop for the kids.

Rainbow did not stop at the cake.  Rainbow flowers and yes, rainbow layered cake.  INCREDIBLE!!!

We brought out our props and background for a fun filled time with the photo booth. We had a line all night. Remember this was day one. Day two to come. Whew, I am already exhausted.
